Science doesn't need a hypothesis
According to the University of Otago
The University of Otago was the first University in New Zealand to have claimed to have isolated SARS-COV-2 in 2020. I asked the University of Otago for the details of their control group for their experiment on Dec 14,2021.
The Start of Control
On Jan 17, 2022, I was assured that the University would be publishing the control information that I requested publicly ‘soon’.
I asked if I could update the request for records with additional information. I also thought it was curious that only in 2022 they were publishing the isolation paper given how important the alleged SARS-COV-2 was to the University and New Zealand.
Considering that Professor Miguel E. Quinones-Mateu claimed to have isolated and sequenced SARS-COV-2 back in 2020, I am very surprised that this information wasn't published already. Unless of course, my OIA request has prompted this information to be published. Can you please confirm if this is the case.
On Feb 18th, 2022 the University of Otago provided their response:
Please see attached the information that the University of Otago holds within scope of your request. This is a copy of the paper recently published by Professor Quiñones-Mateu – and that we informed you about in our response to you of 17 January 2022 (in relation to your information request dated 14 December 2021). This paper is also available at https://www.mdpi.com/1999-4915/14/2/366.
The Paper
I read their paper but noticed that a lot of records for information of my request were missing. On Feb 25, 2022, I asked the University of Otago to please include these missing records.
I have requested official information records from the University of Otago regarding the Cell Culture and Genetic Sequencing Experiments dated on 2021-12-14 & 2022-01-17. I have received a response on 2022-02-18. This response does not provide records for all that has been requested.
I am seeking missing records from my original request and a few additions based on what was supplied by the University of Otago.
The University of Otago rejected my request saying that what I was looking for was too much work for them.
Just think about that for a moment. I asked for the control information of their experiment which they did not publish. Shouldn’t all alleged scientific papers include the details to verify if indeed this paper adheres to the scientific method?
The Split
Since they said it would be too much work to provide all of the information requested, I thought I would split up my request into smaller chunks. I didn’t realize at the time, but the Official Information Act allows for the receiver of requests to aggregate a request from an individual. So the University of Otago just aggregated my 12 requests and responded with again an 18(f) on May 2nd, 2022. This was my mistake and I shouldn’t have ever broken up my requests in the way that I did.
Lessons learned.
Informing the Public
Since I could no longer ask for records on the paper, I informed the public through social media the situation. I thought it would be interesting if people decided on their own to ask for a record based on this paper.
I believe there were about 13 people who sent in Requests to the university of Otago at various times. Here is a response from one of the requesters.
The University has created a conspiracy theory and used that for the justification of their rejection. I don’t have agents nor did I make a request through the requester. I simply provided in social media the questions that I asked the University of Otago and people decided on their own to send them to the University of Otago.
Golden Nugget
One of the requesters thought of a different request for records relating to the scientific method. So they asked the following:
I was completely surprised by the University of Otago’s Response:
Did we all just read that the paper published by Quinones-Mateu was a ‘descriptive paper’ and they actually admitted it had no hypothesis? The paper had nothing to prove or disprove.
So even though the exercise provided nothing else useful, Otago admitted one of the biggest frauds in the history of science.
Ombudsman
I made a complaint to the ombudsman regarding their denial of the requested information from the very start. I argued that the information is required for any scientific paper or any paper claiming to be scientific. Needless to say, I have never heard back from the Ombudsman on this issue and I think they simply just closed it without notifying me.
Existence
In 2022, I authored a new type of Freedom of Information Request. This request is direct and to the point: provide records that scientifically proves the existence of SARS-COV-2 (see www.thevirushoax.net). On July 7, 2022, I sent a request to the University of Otago for the scientific proof of the existence of SARS-COV-2. But this time, I was armed with the fact that their paper did not include a hypothesis so could be disregarded.
On August 8th, 2022, the University of Otago responded claiming that the information existed in the public and that their paper also proved the existence of SARS-COV-2:
It is clear that the University is blinded by their religious faith in scientism so much so that they ignore the requirements of the scientific method. I asked for an internal review and they came back with this:
When the University decided that the definition of the scientific method doesn’t apply, it is their view and opinion that has taken over instead of responding with facts. I sent a complaint to the Ombudsman where again I have heard nothing.
Causation
In 2022, I created another FOIA request for proving that SARS-COV-2 causes COVID-19. All of us can understand that the proof of existence is different to the proof of causation. On Aug 4th, I made a request for the proof of causation to the University of Otago.
Their response came back on Aug 25th citing that my request was vexatious.
The University has made some absurd and baseless accusations that are tantamount to defamation.
How are my requests causing Quinones-Mateu distress? If Quinones-Mateu is distressed, is that because he understands that he isn’t doing science and my requests have shown the light on his pseudoscience?
The University of Otago also claimed that I was guilty of harassment. Harassment is a criminal offence here in New Zealand. I take these charges seriously against me. I never once had any direct communication with Quinones-Mateu. I never directed anyone to have any direct communication with Quinones-Mateu. I never attempted to have direct communication with Quinones-Mateu. It is 100% clear that the University has fabricated their charge against me.
So I wrote back to the University with the following:
I also filed a complaint with the Ombudsman but again have never heard anything back from them. I thought this would be an easy case since the University claimed I was guilty of the crime of harassment and that they have zero evidence to support that. All of my OIA requests were sent to the University of Otago’s OIA email address and were only ever addressed to the University of Otago. I only noted that the biology department would probably be able to handle the request as to help their OIA department because the very first response I received from Otago was that they didn’t know where to send the request. They said it would take too much work to survey every professor, every student, every computer. So I helped them by narrowing their search as they asked me to do. All of my subsequent requests suggest where they can eventually resolve my request is to aid their OIA department.
Yet they turn it around and claim that I have harassed their staff.
Conclusion
This is the result from a woke university that cannot accept the fact that their policy and research are based on pseudoscience. They have turned a blind eye and instead have religious faith in their beliefs. Instead of just accepting the fact that they don’t have scientific proof, they commit fraud.
At least ESR has been honest with their responses to me and agreed they don’t have scientific proof. Landcare Research, MOH, University of Otago all have people who believe in the Abrahamic Allopathy and Virology religions and so simply cannot admit there is no science. So they do what all religious people do and attack the people pointing it out.
